The book has been translated into numerous languages and has seen multiple movie and TV adaptations with their own spin on the story's imagery. Now it is your turn to design a cover for the literary classic!

September 29-October 5, 2025: Vote for your favorite designs
October 6, 2025: Winners are announced

Open to currently enrolled ICC students only.
All majors and skill levels welcome — no prior design experience required.
Create an original book cover design inspired by Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie.
Designs should reflect the mystery, suspense, and setting of the novel without using copyrighted imagery.
Format: JPEG or PNG file preferred; minimum resolution 300 DPI.
Size: 6" x 9" cover design (portrait orientation).
Deadline: All submissions due by September 26, 2025 at midnight.
Submission Method: Email designs to libraryservices@icc.edu with the subject line “Cover Design Contest – [Your Name]”.
Each submission must include:
Your full name
Contact email
Title and description of your design
Must be original artwork created by the student.
No use of AI-generated art, stock images, or copyrighted material unless you have full usage rights.
Keep designs appropriate for a college audience.
🥇 First Place: $50 Gift Card and a copy of Murder on the Orient Express
🥈 Second Place: $25 Gift Card and a copy of Murder on the Orient Express
🥉 Third Place: $10 Gift Card and a copy of Murder on the Orient Express
Designs will be displayed in the library and shared on the library’s website and social media.
Winners will be announced on October 6, 2025 via the library’s social media channels
By entering, you grant the ICC Library permission to display and share your design for promotional purposes (credit will always be given to the artist).
Artists retain all other rights to their work.
