The ICC Archives has a donation form. Please complete this form and submit it with any donation. Thank you. Donations we accept:
In the course of processing donations, materials that do not fall within our Collection Policy or that we cannot provide care for may be returned to donors or other institutions may be sought to care for these items. Donors will receive a 30 day notice regarding any returns or possible rehoming of collections.
The ICC Archives is located on the 4th Floor of the ICC Library (East Peoria Campus Library, Administration Building, L405A), and is open to researchers by appointment. Make an appointment by contacting Bryan Clark by email or call (309) 694-5508.
All researchers are requested to register, providing their name, address, phone number(s), signature, student or other identification number, and their research topic.
Archival materials will be accessible in accordance with general standards of physical access typically found in archival or special collections environments with the understanding that these are non-circulating materials, should not be taken off campus and, preferably, kept in the library at all times. The following rules are in place to ensure safe handling of archival materials:
Users must fill out a registration form providing signed proof that they understand the rules of the Archives.
All coats, book bags, briefcases, etc. are not permitted in the research space.
Use of pens, markers, or other ink based implements is strictly prohibited.
Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited.
All archival material must be handled with care. Those who wish to personally handle items will need to do so with clean, dry hands, free of lotions or oils and must use gloves or document supports provided by the Archive when handling photographs or other specified materials.
Researchers are advised that it is their responsibility, not the Archives, to obtain copyright information and clearance regarding reproduced materials.
Unless restricted or protected by copyright conditions, photocopies of material will be supplied for research purposes. The fee for copying is $.10/page for external researchers. There is no photocopying charge for ICC staff. Also, there is no charge for scans sent electronically. Although there is no precise limit on the number of pages, it may not be possible to fill an order on the day requested, and the Archives reserves the right to carry out the work over a period of time.
Users requiring copies of photographs, maps, sound recordings, or moving image materials are requested to consult Bryan Clark about conditions and charges. Researchers are not allowed to copy archival materials using their own cameras or other equipment.
