Help Guides and Handouts for Films on Demand

Tips

Links to individual film titles and segments can be shared with your students via Blackboard or your personal website.  Off-campus users will be prompted to login.

Off Campus Access to Library Collections

An active ICC network account is required for off-campus access to ICC Library subscription resources and databases, including online articles, streaming video, and e-books. When accessing these resources from off-campus, users will be prompted to log in with their ICC username and password to view resources.

ICC usernames are the first part of your ICC email address, without the @lab.icc.edu part. Passwords are ICC (all capital letters) and the last five digits of your social security number.

If you do not know your login and password, please contact the Library's Reference Desk at 309-694-5355 or 309-690-6837 and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Questions?

Please email library@icc.libanswers.com if you have questions about streaming videos for courses.

Library staff is also available to help with most questions during open hours. Call, email or chat with us!

Chat is located in the yellow box at the bottom of all pages.

Creating an account

Navigate to Films on Demand. Once logged in with ICC username and password (if off campus), students, faculty and staff have the option of creating a personal user account. What are the benefits of doing this?

  • Allows tagging and saving favorites for easy recall
  • Allows curation of lists of films and segments that can be shared with other users
  • Gives control of user settings including playback rate and automatic startup of closed captioning

1. To create an account, click on Your Profile in the upper right corner of the screen.

2. You'll need to log in with your ICC credentials if you're off campus. Once you've done that (or if you're on campus), click New user? Sign up.

3. Fill out the form with the appropriate information. If you'd like, you can specify which subjects are of interest to you and opt in to receive emails to inform you of new titles based on your interests.
